Dr. Laya received her formal education and MD degree in the Philippines, while Dr. Bodner has had extensive medical Experience in West Africa while in medical school and in East Africa while serving as a Medical Officer (LCDR) at a US Navy Dispensary and Hospital in Ethiopia. He had also previously completed a post doctoral degree from the University of London's (UK) School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine with a focus on clinical tropical medicine. We both much prefer to see and counsel with travelers before their travels abroad to provide advice, immunizations and medications to help maintain good health. But we are prepared to assist you and your doctor particularly if you encounter a prolonged post-travel fever to help diagnose and treat something possibly unusual or exotic after travelling abroad. |
